This is a product I’d had my eye on for a while, especially as they sell it at my work and I’m constantly putting it on the shelf! I’ve always been the type who is scared to try new products but once I found out it’s CG approved, I decided to take the leap of faith. The product claims it ‘elongates curls + strong hold +eliminates frizz’, which is exactly what I want, but I was quite disappointed/suspicious when I saw very few reviews online. So, here’s my review - I hate it.

CG Approved: Yes

Price: Around £6

UK Availability: You can buy this in Superdrug or on Amazon (it’s way way way more expensive on Amazon though!). I also found it in my local Morrisons but I know not all stores stock it

Smell: Kinda like Refresher sweets - it’s lovely

Texture: One of the more watery gels I’ve ever seen, but still thicker than water

Definition: I had great definition when my hair was damp, but it decreased a hell of a lot during the day

De-frizz: In the morning, yes. As the day went on, hell no

Re-fresh: I put more on the following morning and the same happened - defined to start with, frizzy mess by afternoon

Would I use again? Ab-so-lutely not. This product didn’t even make it past day two

Day 1

I co-washed and combed my hair in the morning, dried the excess with a t-shirt, and got to work on the product, using nothing else on my hair. I let it air dry for an hour so and then used a diffuser on the rest.

At first, I thought the definition was great! This was it! This is the product I’ve been waiting for! I kept sniffing my hair at work and I was so gosh darn excited… until I went to the loo and saw the absolute mess on my head. Throughout the day, my hair had lost all definition!!!!! Every last bit of it! But, I remained optimistic and decided to try again tomorrow…

Day 2

I slept on a satin pillowcase, and in the morning used the praying hands again to cover my dry hair in the product again. Once again, I found the definition to be good, not as good as when it was damp the day before, but still pretty good.

When I got to work, I noticed my hair felt AWFUL - thick and sticky and gooey and, you guessed it, frizzy. I went straight to the loos and tied it up, and bought a whole new different product on the way home…

It’s sad to say this product got washed out before day 2 was even fully over, but there was no way I was sitting all night in a sticky mess of a head. No, thank you.
